  • System Application Technician Automation Designer

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a skilled and experienced BMS HVAC System Applications Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of the building management systems (BMS) and HVAC systems in commercial and industrial buildings. The technician will work closely with project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all systems are properly installed, integrated, and function as intended. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    • Assist Project Manager in the completion of hardware/software requirements of multiple projects.
    • Coordinate installation details with field electrician to resolve field technical problems promptly to prevent construction delays and cost overruns.
    • Review Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Drawings to identify Dampers, Valves, Equipment and Sensors 
    • Create valve and damper schedules for submission to the owners, architect, or mechanical contractor.
    • Review the project specifications and Sequence of Operations 
    • Generation of RFI’s if required. 
    • Selection of sensors, control valves, dampers, air flow stations, controllers etc. and a deviation of the actual equipment and current estimated controls budget.
    • Creation of the controls sequence and the point to point check out verification sheet.
    • Control devices and controller wiring, terminations, interlock wiring diagrams. 
    • Preparation of I/O Summary
    • Preparation of BMS network architecture
    • Updating and creation of red line drawings and project As-built drawings
    • Reduce operating costs by identifying cost-saving ideas.
    • Software programming of Network and DDC level controllers
    • Understanding complex control systems including diagnosing and troubleshooting networking and integration.
    • Ability to read, modify, load, and functional test software, programming, and graphics utilizing various protocols.
    • Other Duties may be assigned. 

    Requirements:

    • Requires knowledge of a variety of digital control systems and HVAC systems.
    • The ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and electronic diagrams.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Bluebeam Construction Software, Auto CAD, and Microsoft 365 suite. 
    • Familiarity with function block or script-based text programming is preferred.
    • The required hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00 – 4:30 PM
    • On call assignments may be required.

  • Commercial HVAC Technician

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for problem diagnosis, repair, calibration, checkout and troubleshooting of building automation and HVAC equipment.  
    • Must be able to perform personal installation skills to ensure efficient and timely completion of assigned projects. 
    • Must be able to install quality work and have working knowledge of mechanical systems. 
    • Coordinate inventory and usage of material and equipment including loss and damage prevention.  
    • Maintains the work area in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
    • Provide daily detailed, descriptive, and thorough work order documentation. Ensuring complete customer satisfaction and validation of services completed. 
    • Provide front line technical and repair support to Control Services clients. 
    • Run routine reports to evaluate system operation.
    • Displays team effort and dedication to customer service by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required by the clients and business needs. 
    • Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable.
    • Available for Local travel.
    • Other Duties May be assigned. 

    Qualifications: 

    • 3-5 years’ experience with servicing building automation, temperature control, mechanical control systems is required. 
    • Must have experience with Boilers, Chillers, Split Systems, rooftop units, and VRF Systems. 
    • The preferred candidate will have a valid Journeyman or Master License.
    • The preferred candidate will have a Universal EPA license. 
    • The preferred candidate will have an OSHA 10 certification.

  • Electro-Mechanical Technician

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC automation controls equipment and systems, particularly more difficult electrical issues.
    • Diagnose PLC logic, sensor faults, board and power failures, and electrical systems.
    • Diagnose pneumatic and mechanical systems.
    • Assemble machine components utilizing hand and appropriate tooling.
    • Build electro-mechanical circuits, wire, and building automation controls.
    • Perform machine inspections daily to determine start-up problems, operation, and proper output.
    • Perform regular and preventative maintenance on installed electro-mechanical equipment and automation controls.
    • Install new equipment and automation controls.
    • Install conduit, wire, machine controls, VFDs, switches, and motors.
    • Assist other maintenance personnel with repairs as needed, especially in particular areas of expertise.
    • Document tests and report issues to departmental leaders for review and resolution.
    • Knowledge and experience in operating all types of hand and power tools while adhering to safety protocols.
    • Complete work orders following proper procedures.
    • Complete maintenance and repair logs.
    • Perform work on-site.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications: 

    • Vocational certificate or associate degree in electromechanics.
    • Experience with PLCs, PLC logic, pneumatics, and electrical circuits and componentry.
    • Operate a multimeter and other diagnostic equipment.
    • Have a clear understanding of basic electrical principles.
    • Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatics, machine drive, and fabrication systems.
    • Maintain knowledge of drawings, blueprints, schematics, and inspection manuals.
    • Have thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment.
    • Physical stamina and manual dexterity
    • Proven ability to work under pressure and against deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
    • Ability to inspect work and make quality control decisions.
    • Ability to use accurate weights and measurement equipment in metrics.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  

    • Responsible for problem diagnosis, repair, calibration, checkout and troubleshooting HVAC&R equipment. 
    • Cut, assemble, weld, install, and lay out pipe. Install valves and instruments. 
    • Industry experience with piping layout, Hydronic calculations, and installation of Hydronic Systems.

    • Must be able to install quality work and have working knowledge of mechanical systems. 
    • Coordinates inventory and usage of material and equipment including loss and damage prevention.

    • Trained and qualified to operate machinery such as scissor lifts, aerial lifts, forklifts, etc.
    • Available for Local travel.

    Qualifications:  

    • 3-5 years’ experience of residential / light commercial /commercial HVAC / mechanical troubleshooting experience.
    • Must have experience with Boilers, Chillers, Split Systems, rooftop units, and VRF Systems. 
    • The preferred candidate will have a valid Journeyman.
    • Universal EPA license, Prometric License/ACAD Required. 
    • The preferred candidate will have an OSHA 10 certification.
